A Musical Remembrance of Things Past

A Musical Rembrance of Things Past is an exploration of cultural memory through music. This concert is held in collaboration with the 2004 Chicago Humanities Festival. The Festival’s theme of “Time” is reflected in this period instrument performance of baroque music.

As Charles Swann unexpectedly encounters a long lost memory while drinking a cup of tea in Marcel Proust’s “ A Memory of Things Past”, it is our hope that this performance will unfold our cultural memory propelling us into another Time.
